Some 400 million people now use a Blackberry or Bluetooth enabled QWERTY phones, aka. devices! Now, how many of you only spell out your 800-number on the website without putting the actual phone numbers? That's costing you business. Qwerty keyboards (such as Blackberry keyboards) change everything! The alphabet isn't displayed like traditional phone handsets. So today's marketer must show both the 'vanity' phone number (1-800-The-Best) and the 'actual' phone number digits (1-800-543-2378). Here's a real-life example: 1-800-THE-MINT (collectibles company, The Franklin Mint) On the website, as of May 23rd, they weren't giving the actual digits. A handheld user has to try and remember what the keypad looks like. Not easy! 'Specially if you're driving (which of course, none of us ever do). Stay tuned for future marketing suggestions.
